The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu Local Government Alhaji Taiwo Abiodun Odumbo, has acknowledged the interventions of Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson as revolutionary and deliberate efforts to build futures of Ikorodu.
Alhaji Odumbo said this in a statement on Saturday while assessing the federal lawmaker’s interventions in the basic primary education system in Ikorodu LG, which is also a division and at the same time, a federal constituency, since his assumption of office in the last 10 months.
The LGEA official acknowledged the three – term lawmaker’s interventions as remarkable.

”Since assuming office as the Education Secretary of the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative investment of Honourable Babajimi Benson MHR in the education sector. His commitment has been nothing short of impactful, reshaping the learning landscape across our communities.
”In just 10 months of my stay in office, Hon. Babajimi Benson has facilitated landmark projects including: 6-Block Classrooms at Olu-Odo Community Primary School, Ibeshe, Igbogbo; 6-Block Classrooms at Ilado Community Primary School, Baiyeku, Igbogbo; and 7-Block Classrooms at Isawo Comprehensive Junior Grammar School, Isawo, Agric, Ikorodu.
”7-Block Classrooms at St. Saviour Anglican Primary School, Igbaga, Ikorodu; 7-Block Classrooms at Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye, Igbogbo, Ikorodu (scheduled for commissioning); 7-Block Classrooms at Methodist Primary School, Imota (scheduled for commissioning) ;Ongoing Prototype Classroom Block at Model Nursery and Primary School, Sagamu Road, Ikorodu and 7 block of classrooms at Olu-odo Community Primary School, Igbogbo

Also, “Ongoing Prototype Classroom Block at Yewa Junior Grammar School, Aga, Ikorodu and Ongoing Prototype Classroom Block at Abule-Eko Community Junior Grammar School, Ijede.”
Alhaji Odumbo said that the interventions have assisted in no small measures, improved learning environments and helped advance excellence.
”These projects have delivered additional classrooms, improved comfort for learners and teachers, and created a conducive environment for literacy and academic excellence.
”The ripple effect has been clear: increased enrollment, enhanced learning outcomes, and education brought closer to the grassroots.”

Alhaji Odumbo also acknowledged Rep. Benson’s commitment to the pupils’ smarter studying which furthers the attainment of excellence in basic education in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
”Beyond infrastructure, Hon. Babajimi Benson has also demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and joy of Ikorodu’s pupils. In a groundbreaking initiative, he treated 420 outstanding public primary school pupils across Ikorodu Division to a first-ever festive day out.
”The memorable Christmas treat included: A cinematic experience at Shoprite, Victoria Island Cinema; Each pupil enjoyed a shopping spree and picked items of their choice at Sinomart Shopping Mall and 35 teachers who accompanied the pupils also benefited from the shipping spree.

”This initiative, tagged “Public Schools Christmas Shopping With Honourable Babajimi Benson MHR”, not only celebrated academic excellence but also reinforced the value of inclusivity, joy, and recognition for both learners and teachers.
”The impact of these infrastructures and this initiative cannot be overstated. Pupils, students, teachers, parents, administrators, stakeholders, traditional leaders, and religious leaders alike have all benefited from this renewed hope in education. It is a testament to proper representation and good governance.”
The education secretary, emphasised that Rep. Benson had set the standard in educational advancement which must be sustained.
